Taking a look at my bullet journal monthly spread for September!
My favorite spread to make in my bullet journal every month is the calendar spread. It sets the tone for the month and makes me feel somewhat like I've got my act together.
I use my bullet journal as my planner, so the calendar spread is a must have for me. It gives me a place to write down important dates and appointments that I need to remember. It's also good for tracking tasks that I don't do on a very regular basis.
If I'm being totally honest though, the main reason I like it is because it acts as a cute introduction to the new month in my journal!
To create the calendar spread for the month of September I used my Eclectic Coffee Shop sticker sheet for the main decoration. I also used scrap book paper from the book Paper Play by Amy Tangerine, my favorite washi tapes and rubber alphabet stamps to accent.
I prefer to make my calendar as big as possible while leaving some space for extra notes in the margin and lots of fun creativity.
I love the look of layering stickers over washi tape or scrapbook paper. It adds color, dimension, and depth and helps tie everything together. It's kind of like adding an area rug to your living room.
